Sara Trussell Yeager is a native of Union Springs, Alabama but has called the Atlanta area home for over 24 years. She is a graduate of The University of Alabama, where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree, and a graduate of Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, where she received her Juris Doctor Degree.

While at Cumberland, Sara served as Membership Chair and President of the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, and was awarded their J. Will Pless International Graduate of the Year Award. She also served on the Cordell Hull Speakers Forum Board of Directors, and was a member of the Trial Advocacy Board. She won the Trial Advocacy Board Negotiations Competition and was a finalist in the Donworth Freshman Moot Court Competition. After graduation, Sara clerked for Circuit Court Judge Edward B. McDermott and Circuit Court Judge William T. Gaither.

Sara’s career has included time with BellSouth Corporation, the DeKalb County Public Defender’s Office, and Mary A. Miller & Associates, LLC, as well as several years of private practice. She has previously received the C.O.T.Y. Award from the Georgia Defense Bar for her appellate work.

Sara is licensed to practice law in both Georgia and Alabama.
