Andrew Lumpkin, Investigator
Anthony Lumpkin brings a vast and expansive law enforcement background of over 30 years. After growing up in Ohio, Anthony joined the Army in 1983 as a Motor Transport Officer and Stevedore. Anthony also participated in “Operation Just Cause” and “Operation Desert Storm.”
Following his military service, Anthony worked as a Mounted Patrol Officer at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Following this he worked as a supervisor at the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice where he overlooked the daily operations of over 50 employees. In 1998, Anthony became a Deputy at the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office where he helped maintain security in a jail and was part of the Sheriff’s Training Team. Following this, Anthony worked as an Administrative Division Commander and Probation Director at the Jonesboro Police Department. He was responsible for the supervision and training of the staff. Possessing multiple law enforcement certificates and being a P.O.S.T certified instructor has helped Anthony have a successful career in numerous law enforcement fields.
Following retirement from the Jonesboro Police Department in 2021, Anthony became a Senior Investigator for the Clayton County Solicitor General’s Office. As a dedicated law enforcement professional, Anthony has served the public in a broad range of ways.
Anthony studied Hospitality Management at Central Texas College, as well as Criminal Justice Administration at Columbia Southern University.
When he isn’t working, Anthony loves to go to auto shows or auto races. His love of cars also has led to his own classic car collection.
