Lanicia Harvey-Williams, Attorney
Lanicia Harvey-Williams is from the Middle Georgia area. She attended school in the Crawford County School System in Roberta, Georgia. Upon graduation from high school, Lanicia attended the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in Atlanta, Georgia, where she majored in Chemical Engineering. While at Georgia Tech, Lanicia enrolled in the Cooperative Education Plan where she worked for five rotations (11 weeks per rotation) at the Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Company (3M Company) in various departments in St. Paul, Minnesota and Decatur, Alabama and one rotation at the Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company in West Lafayette, Indiana. Lanicia graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering Cooperative Plan degree. Lanicia was a member of the Chemical Engineering honor society, Omega Chi Epsilon, as well as other honor societies while attending Georgia Tech.
Lanicia worked for multiple Fortune 500 companies as a Product Development Engineer, Development Engineer, Process Engineer, and Senior Development Engineer. Lanicia volunteered as a Big Sister at the YWCA in St. Paul, Minnesota and was a member of 3M’s Volunteer Program where she tutored math and volunteered in the community. After working as a chemical engineer for a number of years, Lanicia decided to go to law school and attended Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Georgia. Lanicia has volunteered with the Pro Bono Project of the Georgia Legal Services Program.
Lanicia enjoys spending time with her children and family as well as reading in her spare time. Lanicia is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and has served in the past as president of the Rochester, New York alumni chapter as well as other offices in that chapter.
