Shamma grew up in Jonesboro, GA. She graduated from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs in 2009, and received her Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University College of Law in 2014. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
While in law school, Shamma developed a passion for criminal law and trial advocacy. She took as many criminal law and trial classes as she could. She also gained a significant amount of experience by interning at the DeKalb County District Attorney’s office under the Third Year Practice Act, where she argued motions for the State. Shamma was also an active member of the Asian American Law Association and the International Law Association.
Prior to coming to Lister & Holt, LLC, Shamma worked in bankruptcy, as a staff attorney for a Chapter 13 Trustee and has experience arguing in Federal Court. She is licensed to practice in the Superior Court of Georgia and in Northern District of Georgia Federal Court.
