Mickey later interned with the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office where he had the opportunity to practice in court under supervision as authorized by Georgia’s Third-Year Practice Act. He gained even more experience as an apprentice, and later special assistant district attorney, with the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office where he practiced in court under supervision as authorized by Georgia’s Law Graduate Practice Act.
After personal reflection on various issues related to the criminal justice system and its reform, Mickey’s interests ultimately shifted toward criminal defense. His desire to advocate for the rights of the accused brought him to Lister & Holt. Outside of law, Mickey’s interests include, cooking, music, film, and self-improvement.
