Douglas grew up in Rome, GA where he graduated from the Darlington School in 2008.
Douglas then attended the University of Mississippi where he was accepted into the Trent Lott Leadership Institute. While at Ole Miss Douglas was initiated into the Mississippi Alpha chapter of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. In 2012 Douglas graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy and Leadership.
Douglas is a 2016 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law where he served as both the Chair and Treasurer for the school’s Negotiation Board. While in law school, Douglas interned with the Lafayette County District Attorney’s Office in Oxford, MS and worked as a student attorney with the school's Transactional Law Clinic.
